UPDATE FROM THE SITE TEAM

TANGLED ROOTS FESTIVAL at

RADFORD MILL FARM – INFORMATION FOR CAMPING AND DAY TICKETS.

Please do not attend this event if you are feeling unwell, have had a positive Covid test result, have been in recent contact with anyone with Covid symptoms or have been told to isolate.  Refunds are available for this reason.   We would request that you take a lateral flow test prior to your arrival. 

Our response to Covid safety

We are required to keep the names and contact details of all guests for 21 days after they leave, for track and trace purposes should there be a Covid outbreak. After this we will destroy the information. There will also be a NHS QR code for you to scan if you use these.  

Any national social distancing regulations in force at the time of your stay should be adhered to. We would also request that you maintain good distance to protect vulnerable people and reduce the possibility of infection transmission, for example by leaving space in queues or for others to pass by.  We will have arranged seating with spacing, but you are welcome to rearrange this into family or close contact groups,

There will be sanitizer outside the toilets on the event field.  Please use this prior to entering and on leaving the toilets.  

We would prefer contactless payments at the food and bar outlets. 

This is an outdoor event which will minimise risk of Covid transmission, but the weather can change dramatically. While we hope it will remain dry and sunny, we suggest you bring wet weather gear and warm clothing as well as an umbrella as there will be limited undercover space if it rains. 

Walking and dogs and dog poo

There are plenty of walking opportunities on and around the farm. You will find copies of our farm map displayed at various points. Please leave gates as you find them.  If you have dogs with you, please always keep them under control: they must be put on a lead near farm animals.  Please bag up dog poo and take it home with you along with any personal rubbish.

Rubbish

There will be labelled collection points for food and drink rubbish.  Please help us recycle by using the appropriate bins for glass, tins and plastic, paper and card, and food waste. 

Please note there are no public waste facilities on site, and we ask you to collect all your rubbish and take it home with you at the end of your stay. You may want to bring some rubbish sacks for this purpose. Please do not use our domestic rubbish bins.

First Aid, lost and found, emergencies

During the event there will be a first aid point at the kitchen on the main event site.  This is also the “lost and found” station. 

If you have a problem, please speak to a member of staff or in an emergency call 07908088369 or 07765955692 and we will get help to you.  However, please note that reception is not good low in the valley, and you may need to move uphill to make mobile calls. 

Entrances

There are two entrances to the farm. The one you use depends on whether you have a day ticket or are camping overnight. 

Day Tickets

Use the Mill entrance. 

The entrance for day tickets and day parking is at the junction of Mill Lane and Bath Road, BA2 0QF. It is signposted “Radford Mill” and there will be an open gate at the junction leading into the parking field.  Please Park neatly and avoid blocking the entrance /exit. 

Overnight Camping/Vehicles

Use the farm entrance. 

The nearest post code is BS39 7PU. The farm entrance is at the bottom of a hill on a corner. There is a wooden bin store at the entrance and a notice board saying, “Radford Mill Farm”. Turn up the drive and go over a bridge.  You will then be directed to an appropriate pitch. 

CAMPING

Here is some information for campers which we hope will help keep your stay comfortable and safe for everyone:

There are many compost toilets and cold mains water standpipes around the camping sites.  We have double the number of toilets usually required for campsites.

To minimise the risk of cross infection, we ask that you bring your own wash bowl, soap, sanitizer, disinfectant, toilet paper and towels and only use your own equipment. We will have disinfected surfaces prior to your arrival. Please disinfect them prior to use. 

We recommend that you bring a torch as there is no lighting on the fields or in the toilets.  There is also no electrical hook-up or internet connection or chemical Loo disposal.

Please be respectful of our residents and neighbours, particularly regarding noise levels.  We do not allow drumming or amplified noise after 11.30pm on Saturdays and 10.00pm on other nights.

      The one for overnight campers – the Farmhouse is on the left as you drive in over the bridge but ask a gate steward and they should be able to show you where to park/unload etc.
