Update on September Festival
Tangled Roots Festival Sept 2020 Update
Are you coming to the Sept Tangled Roots Festival at Radford Mill? Please read…
The Tangled Roots and Radford Mill Teams are working hard to bring you a safe and responsible event on the 5th of September. Obviously, with the regulations changing on an almost daily basis we are still very much at the mercy of events outside of our control. We are currently waiting for confirmation from the Local Council that the event can go ahead. Below is an update of the current plans.
Camping: -. Each Pitch now has its own (compost) toilet and water supply, is around 10 x 10 m and about 10 m away from other pitches. We are building the extra loos and water supplies as I write this. Each pitch can accommodate up to 6 people who should all be from the same household/support bubble.
This does mean we have had to drastically reduced the number of pitches and not everyone who has tickets will be able to camp. Those who confirmed by email that they are coming in September have already been allocated spaces. At present there are no more pitches available for camping.
The exception to this is for those coming in self contained motor homes. Those who have water and toilets on board can camp outside the normal camping pitches. (Please note though that we do not have water and electrical hookups for motorhomes.)
If you are planning on coming in September and we have not recently emailed you, please get in touch (email address at the bottom) and let us know. Obviously for us the larger the groups you are in the better. We will try to accommodate as many people as possible.
Festival: The Sept event will now focus on the main performances on Saturday the 5th September. Day tickets (with no camping) will be available for the Saturday.
Social distancing: Social distancing will be practiced though out the site and seating/areas for watch the performances will be in “household” groups and kept an appropriate social distant distance apart.
Workshops: We have been advised by the workshop leaders that the current advice is that choir and dancing workshops should not be held.
Contactless Payment: Food and drink can only be paid for by contactless card.
These changes will make it an unusual Festival and we would like to thank you for you patience with us as we try to navigate the rules and procedures.
Existing TICKETS holders:
We emailed everyone we had contact details for in March to offer either a refund, to move the tickets to the June 2021 event or to the September 2020 event. If you have not received that email or have not replied to it please let us know asap what you would like to do.
Take the booking/tickets forward to the 2021 event – 11/12/13 June 2021
Swap the June 2020 tickets for Day Tickets for the September 2020 event
We’d like to come in September but can only come if we can camp.
Please email us @ firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know and for any other questions. Please include the name of who booked the tickets (and their email address), tickets numbers if you can find them, and let us know your preference.
